I decided to mod my slaves so they a bit more reliable and get a bit more range out of them. Before the mod they would fire around 60ft, any further they flashed only sometimes, after the mod they flashed at around 200ft perfect.
    Basically what I did was wrap some copper wire around the chip and left a bit of slack so it would then fit into my stereo antenna. Then I drilled a hole just big enough for the antenna to fit so it was snug and dandy. It might seem pointless but it's working really good so far. You can be courageous and solder the antenna to the little hole the copper wire is wrapped in, but I wasn't sure if I was going to keep this mod or not so I just wrapped the copper instead of soldering it. I will solder it later on though to make it permanent. -------------------- |

It looks extremely funny, but it works, I'm going to switch out the antenna for a smaller one when I get a chance haha.

if i do it id defently try and get a smaller antenor, any metal would work yes?

Any thing metal would work fine, you can use stereo wiring aswell just have to strip the rubber on the bottom to connect it(duh) and a bit off the tip.

altho it does look abit silly and id only use something like half the size of a p-dub antenoir its a really well written/pictured tutorial.

what about something the size of a cell phone antenna ? im really liking this idea but not the size .

I just did this to mine. Couldn't be bothered to leave the house, but I got about 10 successful shots one-after-another at about 30ft, and again at the same distance with a wall and couch in the line of sight.
