Alreet,

We've been sent a load of .movs or .dvs for the show. As we're editing them on Premiere at the moment we have to convert them from either of those to avis. The way I'm doing this is one of two ways.

A - Opening the .mov or .dv in Final Cut and Exporting as an avi with the compression setting as DV PAL, 25 frames per second, and the highest audio settings.

B - Exactly the same using Quick Time Pro instead.

I'm getting two problems though. Not the entire way through the edits, but a lot of the time, they become a bit juddery, as if they are skipping a bit. For anyone who saw last weeks Curb Surfers, this happened on the War of the Roses edit part way through for about 15-20 seconds.

1 - Does anyone know why this happens and if it can be avoided? We've got three submissions in mac formats that I converted and came home today to edit and just found the same problems with and don't want them to go out like that Monday.

2 - Would we have the same problems if we were to edit entirely in Final Cut instead of Premiere but the other way round, where avis would do the same?

Pre-Props to anyone who can solve this,

Puffin
