A town about an hour away from me has a drag track. I go there every once in awhile, my uncles a big drag racer. Most of the older guys are cool but the younger kids who are driving daddys camaro are douche bags. i've never been to any other event besides little car shows around the state. I'll try and find the footage of my uncle in pinks. Yeah old drag dudes are always cool as hell, it sucks they're just outnumbered by all of the morons in attendance. -------------------- RIP Derek Gertz
I bet i could make that clip look like Terminator Salvation in no time. lolz. if you were as picky with your exposures, your framing and your timing as you are about my hygene, then maybe you could get a cover. zing. Lot of bashing on something that takes a lot of skill to do. A lot of these people who claim to "drift" are a bunch of idiots who drive around on public streets and endanger others lives, and suck in the process. Events I have been to have always been filled with a bunch of helpful people and a good community in general. Every where else its been a whole lot of shit talking from every which way. Yo Imports are fucking gay. Yo I'll smoke the shit out of you. Yo get your piece of shit and lets go. Blah blah blah. Kids are what ruin the car scene. I go to an automotive school and I see this shit all day every day. I fucking hate the import scene and I drive one. All the revving at eachother, the BOV's that everyone feels the need to set off every time I drive past, and the races others try to engage as I give them the thumbs down shaking my head at them. People need to grow up and take their driving to the track, stop talking shit, and appreciate the blood sweat and tears some put into their cars, whether its a drag, autocross, drift or an all around weekend warrior. Fuck the haters. I wish I could enjoy driving a stock Ford Escort or something, and never have to deal with 75% of the automotive scene. It's full of condescending, biased, know-it-all people. Don't get me wrong, there are a ton of helpful people, but there are a ton of fools. I wish everyone would stop shitting on everything they don't like or can't do. I'm done now. Move along.

Nah mostly all the kids I go to school with/ a bunch of the kids involved in the 240 scene. It just gets aggravating when a scene gets a bad rap because of dumb kids. There aren't enough well done, clean cars, so most just see shitboxes and think the entire scene is that way.

Sorry man, I didn't mean to pinch a nerve but statistically speaking the generation that is into "drifting" are teenagers and young 20-somethings, there aren't many adults associated with it since it's in its infancy so it's jam packed full of idiots. I personally don't think I've seen a shred of anything that shows a legitimate scene.

yea i wish sometimes to it had a little bit more beef, but i like you said around corners is sweet, my friends ricers cant compare. Not to mention how tight everything else is. what year is yours? 5 speed? best part is getting to like 3800 RPMS when the vanos kicks in. best sound. it pulls pretty hard for a car that weighs 4300 pounds. -------------------- i know myself.
M9- incredible, but i couldn't find the film advance. i carry around a square brick painted like a camera and people ask me if i have a hasselblad all the time. |

no not yet. i am only drive it for about another week before im done driving it for the winter. i wanna do a little to it. i need to go through the transmission. the bearing/gear at the back of the transmission is worn and it makes the transmission whine when i let the car idle with the clutch out or when i drive. it still drives fine.
this winter id like to possibly drop it 2 inches. wheel wells are too much. intake transmission work/ new clutch it has 178k on the car. still runs legit. maybe exaust work newer series bmw rims and small body work. it is a 95 and i live in the rust belt. but the car is 95% rust free. -------------------- i know myself.

excellent, i would love to drop some nice 18in BMW rims later on too. Exhaust and maybe a front lip. Needs a little tlc as far as minor exterior trim and what not and a new paint job.
I hear you about rust, my car is from jersey so i have a touch of rust on the bottom of the passenger side door but its no biggie for now. 167k and starts like a champ. edit: oh and i need new kidneys for the grill, i either lost one on the road or someone bucked it -------------------- It's like black people assuming they are good at basketball. Classic video. That took place near the mall where I live. Hilarious. And you guys should all look into your local SCCA chapters (or NASA who knows) for local Auto-x and HPDE's. So worth it. I've got my SCCA license and membership but have only done one event....gay. Need to get on it. Oh and I'm thinking we should do an SP tail of the dragon run..... -------------------- flickr

not fast and the furious, i was trying to make another mazda video back when and was trying to swipe across the screen but i couldn't get the back end to whip around, well mainly because it's FWD. You suck then. I've had a PT cruiser get the back end out, controlled, like a champ. Lift off oversteer, my friend edit- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sbr1K3uuOPk -------------------- flickr

Just drive it. meh. i tend to disagree. its like if someone fixes up a civic that needs new paint and motor work. it all depends on the person. my friend has a civic that is worth about 1200 ish that probably will need a full rebuild and hes already putting money into it to make it how he wants. it all depends on the person. -------------------- i know myself.
