Thinking about making an upgrade to a vx2100, for fisheye options either a 52mm opteka I can get locally for $60 with the 52-58 adapter. Or should I get a raymod/opteka58mm somewhere on the web and bayo it if possible. Thanks
Just get a raymod, the screw mount will work just fine

How much are you looking to spend? You may be able to get a VX1/MK1 for the price of a 2100 plus a fisheye. If you're filming skating in SD, just get a VX1. You won't regret it.Thinking about making an upgrade to a vx2100, for fisheye options either a 52mm opteka I can get locally for $60 with the 52-58 adapter. My computer doesn't have a Firewire Port of Expresscard port so I was wondering if this would work so my computer can recognize my cap cam (it doesn't using a pure breed USB).
Only way out of this is your gonna have to buy a panasonic Gs series that supports high-speed USB transfer etc. gs300, gs320 and gs500. I have an asus with no express or pcmia ports and it captures usb fine using win dv

One of my friends got something similar for his GS. Its seemed to work pretty well so far.

Those decrease quality from what I have herd. Also, on some computers those are not recognized so you wouldn't be able to use it. But i mean its only a few dollars so not anything to really regret wasting it on but again it decreases quality because the USB doesnt transfer the video as fast as firewire or something like that.My computer doesn't have a Firewire Port of Expresscard port so I was wondering if this would work so my computer can recognize my cap cam (it doesn't using a pure breed USB).

The front part of my vx2100 is kinda loose. The VAP I believe it's called. Would a lens like an opteka death rip it
Off ? I don't have a lens to test it so I'm just wondering what I should do. Thanks
If the front end is loose, a lens hit from filming with any fisheye would make it more likely to break off.

or a generic brand 160 LED light on full power
my 76 led light is brighter than 1 10/20 on full power.
you should be fine. the opteka death isnt that heavy. if your that worried then just get a raymod because its alot lighter in weightThe front part of my vx2100 is kinda loose. The VAP I believe it's called. Would a lens like an opteka death rip it
