Ok so heres a tutorial on how to make a nice fake super8 effect in post. Im using Adobe After Effects cs4 and Final Cut Express 4. Video tutorial: http://blip.tv/file/...Tutorial872.flv
Settings:
- Auto Contrast
- Brightness & Contrast
Brightness- -15
Contrast- 13
-Gaussian Blur- 2
Here are the solid layer colors: RED (#c84320), BLUE (#1f567c) and GREEN (#567049). Put them in this order, Red, Blue, Green, with the red in the bottom.
Change both the blue and green layers blendingmode to "overlay". Then change the red layers blendingmode to "lighten" and change the opacity to 73%.
8mm film clip I used: http://www.videocopi.../old_film_look/
More clips: http://www.artbeats.com/
Final product: http://a22.video2.bl...y....5&brs=7322
(If you want the clip more jittery lower the strobe effect to around 45-50.)
