I've used the Arri wireless FF system, it's so responsive. Best part of 20k on it's own though!

Ah man i just hired a hocus focus from a rental house in London it was shocking compared.

Finally pieced together my new short. It's not as complete as I wanted it to be, but we just wanted to crank it out.

Peep away!

Youtube.

Am I allowed to post videos in here? I didn't really feel like it went in the Dslr Video archive, I felt that was more Skate Videos and whatnot. Lemme know.

Course you can post it in the archive!

That's sick! Can we see?

Went into my high school shop class today and my shop teacher helped me fix the gearbox on my Follow focus. It's back to very close to 1:1 and feels great. I didn't realize how much I missed it. $150 for it, so I'm not complaining.

I would imagine if he posted it on this board, more than just my eyes would fall on it.

Just maybe, seeing as I'm not the only user here.

voodoo was actually on the editorial crew for the film, so he will probably get to see it.

I won't be able to post it until after nationals now; and honestly, it isn't even good. It's only two minutes too.

Homie, music videos aren't narrative!

Went location scouting today, but it didn't turn out good.

Not a bad idea. Did you get this from another film? If so, what film?

thought this would be put here.

im planning on entering a film contest my school is sponsoring called Water: Take 1 about "Imagining a world where every type of water is paired with a right use, restoring the water cycle to a sustainable cycle. Rain is captured and/or infiltrated into the ground for later use. Water used indoors has a second life as greywater. Reclaimed water is recycled in ways that benefit our world, bringing the water cycle full circle."

this is my first attempt at a film outside of skating and i could really use some help with ideas.

This is the best footage I've seen out of the 5d Mark III. Nikkor lenses seem to fix the sharpness issues and makes it look amazing! Take a look.

I hated the way that looked. It's so video-y. Way too sharp, too saturated and the whole thing felt flat. That's some of the only footage I've seen from the mkiii but the people who shot that could use some work.

I agree that in the context of that film it was too sharp, but I like the ability to get a much sharper look from Nikkor lenses without any post sharpening, especially with the sharpness issues everyone complain about in the 5D Mark III. Does anyone else use old Nikkor lenses on their DSLR?

I had a nikkor 24mm 2.8 that I loved. It had a very nice focus ring though and had good optics

Yeah I've got a full set of Nikkor primes but they're soft and I love it. I hate sharp video.
