I just got my canon t3i and I'm between these two lenses. I would get the canon 8-15mm but I don't have that kind of money. Which one is wider? Best quality?

I posted the image/text quoted below in this thread a while back, but the short answer is that they are both the same lens... even though one says '7mm' and the other says '8mm.'
The Opteka "6.5mm", Vivitar "7mm", Samyang 8mm, Rokinon 8mm, ProOptic 8mm, Bower 8mm, etc. SLR/DSLR fisheye lenses use the SAME. EXACT. GLASS.
Also, save for red stripe/text and different focus ring rubber on the Vivitar, they have the same bodies too.
In a nutshell, all those lenses are the same lens with different markings.
