ight here it is, you wanna add some ram too your PC, i will show you thy way.
Things you'll need: your stick of Ram anti-static glove(good to have just incase) Things you'll need too check: do you have the right ram stick?(make sure its the same specifactions) ![]() the computer is unplugged. all outside components are unplugged(monitors, mouse etc..... and make sure what your computers MAX SUPPORTED RAM IS!!! 1. put your computer onto its side and begin too remove screws that hold the side panel in. ![]() and pull it off and put it aside. 2. MAKE SURE TOO HOLD ON TOO THE COMPUTER, TOO GROUND YOURSELF! then search around the inside of the computer carefully, to find where the ram slots are located. if you have manual for your computer it should be listed, where you can find them. ![]() 3. get your RAM, hold your horses, were not there yet. then unclip the plastic tabs that are there too hold in RAM, but do it gently as to not damage your computer. if you are replacing the RAM do the same thing, the pull out the old RAM gently. ![]() 4. now get your OG RAM and put it into the memory modual banks(you must push pretty hard too put these fuckers in, but you got too be gently as not too damnage the RAM or the Motherboard). into the slot it goes. gently once again. make sure you put it in right, directly and perfectly into the slots. then clip it in with the plastic tabs. ![]() 5. go get yourself a nice glass of any beverage of your choice. and give your self a pat on teh back!! the brown guy congratulates you!!6. ok now you are done installing you got too put the side panel back on. ![]() ![]() 7. alright hook your shit back up. monitors and what nots.... and your ready to GO!!!!!!! now once your done and your computer is running do this, click start, control panel, then click performance and maintenace, double click system the amount of RAM in your computer is shown at the bottom of the system diolog box and in the general tab. heres a added note!! if you see "memory Error" use a third partydiagnostic program too detirmine if the memory module is failing. if you see a "not enough memory" error message, close all programs and restart your computer. Alright there you have it boys and girls, MERRY CHRISTMAS AND WHATEVER OTHER EVENTS HAPPEN AT THIS TIME OF YEAR!! |

You failed to mention that you need to push down your RAM really FRICKIN HARD or else it won't click in properly. This is crucial to your RAM installation.

OK its been edited. and yes, that is an Emachines computer. there pretty easy too get into. and each slot can take up to 1gig of RAM(one stick) and the whole motherboard can hold about 4 gigs of RAM but i would not put that much RAM into a PC such as this. because its simple not worth it in a PC, such as a eMachine, cause that RAM Proberbally costs the same amout as the PC. and eMAchines take a RAM stick that has the speed, 400mhz unless you have an older PC. OH ya THanks again Ryan for Pointing that out |
