Yeah, a Kipor IG2000. 1.6kVA, 1.28kW rated)

I'm currently running it at its limit with two Totas at 800W (the 800's are the only bulbs I can find running at 230V).

Also as you are local, Have you ever skated that spot near north dulwich station, I lit that up a while ago before my genny died and it was great fun..

oh yeah, also where did you nab your totas from? I was going to borrow some off the studio but it ended up being loads of hassle and I gave up.

I use a kipor ig2000, with 2 750 watt totas, the footage always looks great.

None that I can stick up at the current moment (there are some contractual issues with that). As soon as I get the green light, it'll end up online somewhere - in saying that I'm still trying to get my head around the HVX at night. As for that spot, can't say I have; where about is it (in saying that, my knowledge of North Dulwich/Herne Hill isn't too hot...). Let me know, I might have to hit that up one evening...

The Totas? I ended up picking them up off ebay from some guy in the states for about £40 - steal! (it was either that or £150+ EACH (!!)from ProKit) No leads, but I managed to bodge a couple together for a couple of quid (beats paying £48 +VAT for the official Lowel UK leads)

For a minute I confused it with Alleyns, but that's more East Dulwich IIRC. I think I know the place.

Yeah, I'll drop you a line when I'm going up there. Won't be for a while though, as work's a bitch at the moment, plus I'm off on holiday at the end of the month...

I'm probably buyin a 1990 borough Caddillac today.
The next thing on my list to buy is a genny and like 3-4 lights. So I was wondering what's the biggest genny I could buy that would fit in my trunk, and are the lights gonna fit with the stands on in the trunk, or should I just have them hanging out of the window a little bit?

anybody? I have a caddy, I just don't know how big of a genny I can fit in there. I was hoping It would have atleast 3 plugs. That would hold three smith victor lights.

trunk dimensions? most online places you would buy a generator tell the dimensions of the generator. plugs dont really matter. you can always buy extension cords with more then one plug at the end. i have one with three plugs at the end that i plug in to my genny then i plug 1 10 foot extension cords in to that then my lights in to those.

as for fitting the lights in your car most if not all lights can be removed from there stands and the stands them self can be collapsed

3 Plugs? Mine only has two, most people just get an extension cord. Hah. You need to find out how many watts you need. A 2,000 watt generator is going to fit in your trunk, for sure.

Alright, so i'm ready to get my first generator. Any suggestions for one? And a some good lights too. Budget for all would be near a grand, i am only guessing. I also need it to fit into my 4 door vehicle as well. The generator that is. I'll worry about the light at another time.

I found this one:

Now I need to find some good lights, any suggestions on those? Flood lights?
