    Just Won The Handle Game

I've not been in the DSLR game for long, but god damn do those handles look ugly. I get the utility aspect, but ya boy is going for sleek, simple and effective. As long as you don't need your LCD (when you get more comfortable anyway), you can make a handle using the bottom mount. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/98958760/Photo%20Apr%2022%2C%206%2036%2012%20PM.jpg Just two L brackets mounted reverse of eachother and a foam grip. it slides back and you can throw a light on the front.

    Guitar Play Through Video

Hahah, thanks man. Full album stream is here if you want to take a listen
  7. My band Shores just dropped a new 6 song EP titled "Life/Lost". Where are all the metalhead elitists at? I need them to tell me how bad my band is. Anyway, if you guys enjoy it, share it around. Cheers dudes. Full EP stream below:
  8. This is a guitar play through of a song off my bands newest EP that I filmed/edited. Shot with a Canon 60D, 28mm 2.8f prime and 85mm 1.8f prime. Post work done in Sony Vegas. I had two flood lights at various angles during the video, depending on the shot, etc. Let me know what you d00des think.

    Back In The Video Game.

Cheers for all the replies. Yeah, I definitely felt weird as fuck filming with a dslr. I usually was right up in their grill when I had my VX and I LOVED using my viewfinder. It's worlds apart from filming through an external LCD, which is kind of bogus but I'll get used to it. Maybe I'll snag one of those clip-on view finders for DSLR's that go over the LCD screen haha. Thanks for all the positive feedback and hopefully I'll be back posting on these forums again. Cheers boys.
  10. I filmed skateboarding for years and loved EVERY bit of it. Owned both a VX2k/1k. Around 2010, I stepped away from the film game and went into a hiatus from skateboarding. This past weekend, my passion for filming was reignited when my good friend hooked me up with a brand new rokinon 8mm. I have NEVER filmed fisheye with DSLR, so mind you, half these shots are fucking chopped at the torso. Did up a pretty fucking solid handle DIY style. Drop Box Handle Pic >> https://db.tt/L9wjm3ok << VIRUS LOL Lay it on me and give me some tips. I'm about to get back in the saddle ya heard. Canon 60D 30 Frames
  11. What's up dudes! It's been a WHILE since I've been back on SP and damn, this place has changed a lot. I don't film too much or skate much at all anymore, because well I'm in a band now and it takes up most of my free time, if anything. Skating is still my first love though . It would be much appreciated if you guys could please check out my band's music video. This is all DIY and it's a tribute to a fallen brother that was dear to not only the band but many people here in Japan. Cheers! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9tdJ5T0Tpc
  12. What's up SP community. It's been AGES since I've last been on here. Good to be back, but at the same time, I've gotten completely out of shooting/filming skating and have put most of my time into my band Shores, which brings me to this. If you're into post metalcore/hardcore or music like 'screamo' ( i absolutely hate calling it that ), then please check out my band! Cheers and hope you guys have a good one! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bepstaF3XeU www.facebook.com/shoresjapan <3

    Final Cut Help

Thanks man. At the moment, I've been looking at Final Cut Pro X because it seems a little bit more affordable than the Premiere series that's out. I know cs5 is only a couple more hundred bucks (hopefully the right one im looking at). I've never really used the final cut series, but I've read up some reviews but haven't heard first hand stories of it's productivity. Thanks for your input though!

    Final Cut Help

Really appreciate the feedback and help man! Also, I'm more than likely going to doing things legitimately, so torrenting or illegal download is more than definitely not going to happen. Again, thanks for the help!
