    SONY VX1000 ARE DYING?

Just noticing all the vx footy out there looks bad. Footage kinda haze / foggy on all the vxs! Look how crisp it looked back then:

    SONY VX1000 ARE DYING?

Yeah for sure, Jim sharpen and increase contrast while editing but thats not the point. If you do that with vxs with bad lenses it still looks bad and I'm talking about of most of the vx1000 out there since the lens unit isn't very sealed. The bad thing is that everybody don't even bother about it, people films just to have the vx "looks" and don't give a fuck about how it should really be

    SONY VX1000 ARE DYING?

I will make a post about it, and yes it deteriorate the quality you just don't know how perfect vx1000 footy looks like cause you're just too used to see vx footy with bad lenses. Here's a comparison.

    SONY VX1000 ARE DYING?

Yeah people don't even bother making the wb off something white. But just vxs looks bad in general nowadays compared to old footy, foggy lenses - chips getting older I guess

    Kickflip Jersey

Shoot this yesterday, any thoughts? Settings: Two flashes one at his right (1/8) one at left (1/16) F 8 , ISO 800, Shutter 0"6

    Kickflip Jersey

Totally agreed about the first part. I used an high iso to put an higher f stop in order to get those lights behind the skater smaller. The lower the flash power the most it freeze the action right tho? Like 1/8 of the power freeze more than 1/2 for example?

    VX1000 GREYISH FOOTY

Hey, what I want to be fixed is that haze on the lens. Other than that the color reproductions has some problems, It's less contrast and has less saturion (that's what I was referring to greyish footy). Sometimes the manual white balance is very inaccurate too. Can these stuff be fixed? Let me know. I want to sent it again. Sorry for last time!
  19. Just got repaired my vx from kerry. He changed the VAP the main chip and some other stuff. It just arrived and compared to my other vx it still produces more greyish tones.. Anyone know how to fix that? Noticed that a lot of vx's have that problem nowadays.

    VX1/Cap cam glitching

Maybe the capture cam is pal? If you film with an ntsc and u have pal footy it wont read it. Or try getting a new firewire. Try capturing it directly from the vx just one time
