  2. Miguel Valle Color Correction?

Hi, i know ive posted something similar to this, but its killing me, i just cant get my color grading to look even similar to what i like, does anyone have any recommendation on which settings i should adjust to kinda achieve this look right here? Ill post this video as an example, but any Miguel Valle video will look similar... I just know that he uses Filmconvert, which i have installed... Any tip? Thanks
  3. I just quickly put together an edit. Tell me what you guys think and I know the filming isn't great, it's old footage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcktR0D-c6I

  6. 3rd edit of a series of throwaway edits I'm making while filming for a longish video (I know shaky footage etc, I put the clips in here to keep the filming standard high in the long video) Let me know what you think and I was wondering how have you recorded audio for timelapses, because I just filmed 1 min of ambient sound after the time lapses and sped it up to match the fast forwarded timelapses and looped if needed.

  8. Recommended Lenses For A T3i/600d?

Alright some background first; my filmer buddy is using a t3i/600d shooting raw with magic lantern, we've got access to a glidecam, dolly and a tripod. We're trying to get some better lenses for this summer since we only have access to the kit lens and a zoom lens which is a canon 50mm-250mm with f4-5.6. So we've saved up $800 for two decent value, inexpensive lenses. The first thing we're planning on buying is a prime lens, we are considering getting a 50mm/f1.4 cannon prime lens. Since my filmer friend likes to shoot short films this would be really beneficial for that, but we're wondering how practical it is for skateboarding. The lens is fairly inexpensive at $350 so we'd have some funds left over. Now the question is what lens to get next? Right now me and my friend are debating between a wide angle lens or upgrading to a better zoom lens. Personally I think the zoom lens is fine and that a wide angle would be better since it covers all our bases but anyway, what do you guys recommend?

  10. So I'll start by saying I'm pretty much completely new to DSLRs, though I've been watching and reading up on the t3i specifically for the past week and a half or so. I'll also apologize if there was a better place to post this, I can't imagine it's that uncommon a question but I don't know, anyway... I'm planning on getting a t3i soon, but I'm on an 800$ budget (which includes the camera, handle, fisheye, extra batteries and memory card) for now so I'm trying to figure out what to get as a normal lens that I would be able to find at -100$. I was considering the 18-55mm kit lens since it can be found on ebay for pretty cheap but as I'm watching videos and reading up in this stuff I can't help but feel overwhelmed by the amount of options and what's better than what, and etc. I'm considering just getting a nikon to canon adapter and using the (nikon mount) Tamron 17-50mm that's been sitting around on one of my dad's old cameras for ages (since people seem to love it here) but I don't know what the pros and cons of this idea are. I guess I'm trying to figure out what the most beginner friendly solution to my dilemma is and I've just got a bunch of question swirling around my head as I try to figure this all out. Should I get the 18-55mm kit lens to start just to get familiar? Should I just skip right to the Tamron with an adapter? Should I get a prime lens? Am I over-thinking all of this? Anyway, I'd appreciate the help.
