  1. Hey guys, One of my vx1000s has an audio issue where the high sounds (popping, grinding, etc.) are way too high and peaking, and the low sounds (like wheels rolling, cars passing, etc.) are way too quite and hardly registering. I used to record with the audio just set on auto, but as this problem arose I've been lowering the audio level. Started with 6, 5, 4, and now I record on 2.5-3 because the problem continues to get worse. Even recording on 2.5-3 audio level results in harsh noises and peaking levels from ollies and popping and such. Anyone had this problem before? Mac

Has anyone ever played with one of these. I love the video that comes out of my DVX but the audio blows. If anyones ever used one of these and has some sample video please post.
  3. I have recently bought a vx1000 offline used and at first it seemed to work perfectly fine. I started filming with it the next day (using sony tapes) and later uploaded the footage onto my computer. There is a loud fuzzy noise in all of the video and you can barely here anything else that is going on in the footage. Trying to fix this as soon as possible, anyone have any tips?
  4. I put this on eBay for $100 buy it now. It works great and I've only used it for short films and events really. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Azden-SGM-X-Shotgun-Microphone-for-Camcorders-and-Digital-Camera-Excellent-/231382592769?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35df7a2d01 works on cameras with an audio connector input.
  5. Good T3i Manual Audio Settings?

I want a more crisp sounding audio with my t3i/sennheiser mke 400. Does anyone know any good settings? Examples of good audio... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsbkBMfxs4Q For example, when I'm filming, I hate how you can hear me rolling along but in these videos, you cant hear the filmer skating at all. If you can please help that would be great.

    Audio Issue

Alright, I've been experiencing this problem for the past two times I've filmed. The audio seems to dropout out of nowhere. First thought is dirty heads, right? But I wanted to turn to SP to see what everyone had to say. Are the heads fucked? Or should I be able to run a tape cleaner (last resort) and be fine? I've cleaned the heads in my cap cam twice so far and nothing has changed. First clip is fine. Second has some dropouts here and there. Third is terrible (fresh tape). Thanks! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5Lm9aBn6Bc

    Vx1000 Audio Problems

I bought a vx1000. It needed a VF ribbon and mic ribbon(from handle to camera) so i replaced both. I can film and everything is fine, vf works, buttons on handle work(custom presets button) and even the external mic port works. But for some reason, I had audio in and out for about a day(the day i fixed everything up). Now, nothing. Not even audio bars bouncing or anything. As I capture the footage we got that day, I've noticed some clips have audio and some do not. Do i simply need a new mic? Or would it be smart to get an external mic? If I do need a new mic, does anyone know the part number or where/how i can obtain one. Just to re-cap, everything works except the mic. any help is much appreciated. Thanks
