pls dont hate me So I have been wanting to make this thread for a while, so I may as well do it now and see what happens. Let me just start off by saying something that is going to make me the most hated person on this site. I ride and film BMX. I love doing it. In my area, almost no one my age skates, so bmx was really the only choice. I also skate, but I like bmx a lot more. I love bmx, but one thing that almost makes me stop wanting to ride, is how the rest of the world views bmx. For example, when I tell people who don't skate or bmx that I ride, they automatically assume I'm talking about racing or mountain biking. When bmxers tell skaters that they ride, they usually respond with something like "Bikes are always crowding the skateparks" or "You guys are so annoying." Lets just get something straight. At this point, only 20% of bmx riders are park or dirt riders. The other 80% (including myself) ride street. So just because some 12 year old at the park wont stop trying to grind the ledge, doesn't mean that all bmxers are like that. That being said, there are a lot of companies and events that make people think that BMX is just about ramps and shit (The X games, Mongoose, MirraCO, etc.) Those events and companies are holding BMX back and making us look like shit. They have done TONS of damage to bmx as a whole and have made the public think we're dumb. Then there are companies that make bmx look better and are helping bmx become what it was supposed to be in the first place (The Come Up, OSS, Lotek, Skavenger, etc.) Next, STOP SAYING THAT BMX IS JUST AS BAD AS SCOOTERS AND ROLLERBLADERS. One thing BMX and skateboarding have in common is our shared hatred for scooter kids and rollerbladers. THOSE are the ones we should be focusing out anger on. This post has gotten kind of long, so I guess Ill wrap it up. All in all, I think that the skateboarding and bmx community should just get along. Stop with the "Bikes are annoying" bullshit. I plan to start working on a BMX full length soon, so stay tuned. Here are some videos that will hopefully change your guys view on BMX. Watch this next video. He pretty much sums up the point I'm trying to make. Go to http://thecomeup.com/ for more real bmx shit. P.S. If there was any BMX version of SkatePerception, I would be on it. But there isnt. So here I am. <3

    Video Feedback

https://vimeo.com/42512677 [/url] I know this is a skating forum, but every other bmx forum site is filled with ignorant kids. In my eyes, skate videos are the best constructed videos around.. feedback please
