Hey folks, I've been to Barcelona last week with a "new" used VX 1K. When I was looking at playbacks via Edit Search the footage looked totally glitchy. After checking the trick, I wasn't able to record. This little arrow icon appeared along with a beeping noise. After this I wasn't even able to do an Edit Search again. Then I popped a new tape in there, filmed a little, checked the footage. But the same problem occured over and over again. So in the end I stopped checking any footage at all. In hope to not damage the tape or cause any more glitches. Yesterday I came back home and tried to capture the footage. It looked horribly glitchy and rendered unusable. I even tried to capture with my VX. But it wouldn't let me do any operations with the tape deck since the arrow icon issue. Any idea how to save those tapes and the footage?
Well, yesterday I was filming with my HVX200 and at the very end of the day I got a red X over all my clips in the camera. The weird thing is that in the camera I can play most of the clips but when I try to repair the clips it says "Write Protected" but the little tab on the card is not on. I have called Panasonic and it would cost me more to get the footage off the card then if i were to just buy a new card. At this point I would love to know a way to get the footage off the camera or fix the error. Or if all else fails, a way to format the card.
I need your help guys, Im currently using FCP X to edit clips, and when I export/play back the footage the audio messes up and plays the music from 1 speaker and the noise from the clips through the other speaker. (peep the link below and you'll see what I mean) Any advise/info would be much appriciated Thanks Harry
So I may be buying a VX1000 from my friend... He said the only issue was the viewfinder goes black when lifted so it must be a broken ribbon cable. I know you can fix it yourself but I do not think I can swap out the ribbon cables without breaking something else. I was just wondering how much would it cost to send it into Video Electronics to get it repaired. I would like to know how much more money I will have to put out to get this fixed. Thanks
