    Portrait Of My Moms

My first attempt at a legit portrait. Shot this using a DIY softbox I made out of a lamp shade, tin foil, and a T-shirt. C&C?

    Blue Room

Let me know what I can improve on. I liked using the natural light from a window and the shadows it cast. All from my first roll of all manual Portra 800. Before anyone says yes, i see the grain. I do it on purpose, I wanted to see how it looked.

Shot this using only natural lighting come from the huge window behind the subject. Some constructive criticism would be much appreciated. Thank you.

  5. (I know we're only allowed three pictures but I can't choose one to put as a bonus)
  6. Here's a series I shot of another Toronto photographer, Derek O'Donnell. The first one is my favourite of the three. They were shot using a Canon 1D Mark III, 50 1.8 and 85 1.8 with one Alien Bee B800 through an umbrella.

First time shooting with her, but it was good vibes and we're planning to shoot again soon so just looking for some SP bro feedback.

A portrait I shot of my friend, Keeton. Constructive criticism is greatly appreciated
  9. Managed to get my hands on a 50mm f/1.8 for a night and played around with it for a while. All shot on a t2i with 50mm f/1.8 & Canon 580ex flash. Lighter by CaP17A, on Flickr Marcus by CaP17A, on Flickr Nick by CaP17A, on Flickr Bonus 1 Bonus 2 Down for critique, purposely tried some stuff with extreme shadows on the night ones. First one I definitely would have avoided the background light/clone stamped it out but I don;t have my computer with Photoshop on it at the moment.
  10. ilford delta 400 lemme know dooooooods...
  11. some new photos on my flickr stream. really happy with how these two came out! the portrait was actually an accident and i was excited for that 1 because of the lighting and was kinda bummed i doubled it but not completely because it came out pretty cool even still!
  12. shot a roll of fuji provia 400, almost every frame was a dub exposure. wanted to try it out to better understand how to make them work the way i wanted. planned on having it x-pro'ed but the shop i went to wouldn't do it. oh well, here is 3 of them. more on my flickr!
  13. Just got a Yashica D after years and years of wanting one. This is actually the first photo camera I've ever owned. I have shot very few photos in my life and never used MF. Living with SP vets like DavidNewton, DorsaSkateFl, and KinesisFilms, I learned a thing or 2 about it all even without doing it myself. Im far from a prodigy child but I enjoy my new hobby. Check out my photostream and let me know what you all think! Thanks -David
