    Can't Capture Footage From Dvx

I have a windows vista desktop that does not have a firewire port, so I tried using a wire that connects from the audio video slots on the camera and has connects to usb slot. Whenever I try to capture with adobe premiere elements 8, it doesn't recognize the device. This used to work on my windows 7 laptop for sony vegas, but my laptop is broken and I don't have vegas anymore. Can someone help me find some wire or anything that will let me capture on my vista through elements 8?

    More Interiors

Continuing this project, looking for some crit on some other images that might make the final cut; This is what sparked the whole project, the first I took which led me to obsessively start looking through windows; HP5 400 @ 4am I previously uploaded another version of this I took a different day where he was totally unaware of me, I thought this clearly showed the idea of tension better though, shame about the reflection on his face.

    Interiors.

Something I've been working on for about a month, trying to take street photography off the street, or something. Particularly interested in the moment of tension created, where possible through the contrast of public vs private space. 3 of my favs so far; Bonurs. There's 13 in total so far, not all follow this formula exactly, still trying new things & working on the edit. Interiors Comments much apprec.
