The Search Bar

Recommended Posts

is there anyway that there can be an option to add a search of what camera was used?

For example. Instead of searching for a tittle or tags, add another bar that has a list of the cameras so it will be easier to search for certain footy.

have a look in one of the video lists, like this

http://videos.skateperception.com/vresult/2/

you can see it says 'watch this space' on the right regarding search filters, pretty sure thats what its gonna be, along with more options. steve has mentioned it a few times

Eventually there will be browsing by gear and such.... searching is very complex and always hard to nail on the head perfectly unless you're google.

We're testing this one out for now

look for the search bar, for now it'll pick up whatever anybody put in the title or the tags, so if you punch in something like hvx200 or something you'll get a few results.

It'd also be nice to add a search function to pull based on specific quality video. A function to pull only H.264 videos essentially.

dunno if this has been brought up, but on the search for the forums it will reject any word under four letters, even if it's part of a phrase. it's a pain in the ass.

Amen to this. It sucks not being able to look up "Joe" or something.

Yeah...kind of figured that's why it wasn't implemented to begin with.

Small back story: SP had to switch to the simple search function about 8 months ago due to the fact that the regular search was bogging down the server pretty bad. Switched to simple search and it helped this place run alot more smoothly. If we have to undo it, then just remember it's for a reason.

However Steve, we could always upgrade to that Dell 2950 Clovertown 8-core with 4GB RAM. :(
