How To Take Snapshots Of Computer

Recommended Posts

alot of you might have seen in other forums that people have pictures of stats from this site or something of that sort, like this

2.jpg

there are 2 ways to do it

way #1

so what you do is you go to the place you want to take the snapshot of, and make it so you can see everything you want to be in the snapshot because it will only take it on the parts on the inside of the edges of the page. then click the button that looks like this

1.jpg

once you click it go into paint program(everyone has it, it comes with the computer) and click edit and paste and the snapshot will appear, then crop it so it shows what you want it to show then upload it to photobucket, flick etc., and post it, thats basically all you have to do

way #2

So what you do is have the page you want to take the image from open then go to the start button and go to all programs then go to acceories and click snipping tool or just search snip and it should pop up. After you click on it a greyish box should cover the whole screen, and a little box should appear that says new, cancel, and options. Click new to select the options for snipping the image. It should look like this

2b-thumb.jpg

rectangle snip- cuts out a box

free-form snip- you can choose what you want to snip freely

windows snip- selects any window, so if you want to select a window, like when you click friends and the extra window pops up, just click on it and it selects it

sull screen snip- selects the whole screen

once you snip something, another box should appear with the image you cut out, then you can edit, Once your there you can use the pen to circle something that you might want to show in the image, or you can use the highlighter to highlight text, and you could erase the marks you made with the eraser. If you dont want the outline around the image you can go into options and deselect the check box that says show outline. And thats basically what you do for the snipping tool, there are more optins on it but im sure you can look at those and mess around but thats all.

Damn another way is using Snipping Tool. every PC computer has it but the only problem there will be red boarders if your too lazy to crop it out.

Not win7 (border), plus you can just set the border color to black or white to make it unnoticeable

How do you do it on a Mac, still trying to figure out

i think only windows 7 and vista has the snipping tool, so just do the 1st way, so click the print screen/sysrq buttion that is by the side numer pad, then open up paint program and click edit and paste and then it will pop up on there and just crop it
