Professional Video Camera Help

Recommended Posts

I was looking at buying a professional video camera at the end of this year. My budget is $1,250 and I still want money left for a fisheye and other needed accessories. So I was wondering if there are any good pro video cameras that suit my budget?

Or you could get an hvx200 an use your t3i with a peleng 8mm to look more like an extreme for fisheye shots

Are there any other cameras similar to the hmc40 but a little cheaper?

If you want to go sd you could probably afford a vx1000/mk1 or a dvx/mk2

Hmc40 or an fx7 would be the cheapest hd options

And if you go with a vx1000 an mk1 is a must

Isn't it hard to get the footage to a computer with a vx? And will it be hard for me to keep needing to buy tapes?

As long as your computer has a firewire connection, all you have to do is buy a cheap mini dv camera. Those usually run you around 50 bucks, and pawn shops are filled with them. And tapes don't really get expensive unless you keep that shit rolling and you film everyday. I filmed a full length on under 40 tapes
