Recommended Posts

When I took my sony vx1000 out of the bag yesterday, the lens of the vx itself was condensed on the inside of the glass.. anyone familiar with this problem and knows how to fix it?

"You can easily remove the outer protective "lens" of the front of the vx lens.

First you need to remove the sticker with the information on it ... will say things like "sony video lens" "f=5.9~59mm" etc.... that just peels off.

Removing the sticker reveals two recessed points, you can put a thin screwdriver **** BE CAREFUL HERE**** and twist the lens counter clockwise, it only moves a bit, then the lens part is removable, and you can clean it thoroughly. BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO SLIP AND SCRATCH ANYTHING WHEN TWISTING THE SCREWDRIVER.

also, double check theres no dust left in there when you are reinstalling the outer lens. compressed air might be helpful here."

Credit goes to wes. the moderator from here.

If I misunderstood and it's deeper, I think it's in the vap and even Kerry at VE can't help, you'll have to get a donor cam or a whole new one.
