Downsides To Vx's?

Recommended Posts

Amazon has 10 Sony Premiums for $30 shipped. Seems like a pretty good deal to me.

they also sell 32gb sd cards for $20 and that shits reusable.

But that $20 reusable shit doesn't give you a solid backup of your footage

Yeah but the hard drive in your computer does

Or a 5 dollar flash drive

I've lost more tapes after transferring than hard drives that I've lost broken or crashed

you might think you'll get instantly good looking footage but you ACTUALLY have to be a good filmer. it takes years of practice to get at josh stewart, ryan garshell, and yoan taillandier status. this is why strobeck, jason hernandez, russell houghten and other filmers that have switched to hd look so good is because they started off as vx filmers. a lot of people who go hd just grab a stabilizer and call it a day.

That's true but since I live in The Netherlands, Amazon isn't an option for just buying tapes.

So for me that's a down side, a good price is hard to find here.

I buy my tapes ( Vx2k ) 20$ for 10 Sony Premiums, I Live in belgium and i buy them in the Fnac, so from now on you should be good :D
