Recommended Posts

Hey guys, so im actually selling my t3i setup, and im aiming for a full frame with the canon 8-15mm fish, and the 24-105 lens, i was thinking of getting the 6d, orrrr the 5d mk2, which one do you think i should get? and why? thanks

Neither. The 5dmk2 can't do 60p, and the 6d has only 720 at 60p with a subpar image. An a7s will give a sharper image with 1080/60p and a much higher dynamic range. It's also got a viewfinder that works in video mode and both full frame and crop modes. Low light is much much cleaner and you can still use canon glass with adapters.

hmmm, i dont really need more than 720/60p, but yeah, i want the 60 frames, so you leave me thinking bout the 6d vs the a7s

edit: nevermind, i just saw the a7s price tag and its too high for me, i was looking for something like 1000-1200, so... should i get the 6d? I know that search the horizon from habitat, and bunkers down from aworkshop has been filmed with the 6d and it looks really good actually

Definitely get the 6D if your main interest is video. The 5D2 is more of a photo camera and it's kinda out of date. I highly recommend the 8-15

I recommend the 6D. The Wifi function on it can also be pretty handy, however you can't send videos to your phone. Here's a video I made completely with the 6D and Tokina 10-17mm (cheaper alternative to Canon's 8-15) in 720/60p.
